Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State hss approved the appointment of Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Kabir Maikarfi as the new Maigari of Lokoja.
Gambo appointment was announced on Monday in Lokoja by the state government.
He succeeds his father, the late Maigari of Lokoja, Alhaji Muhammadu Kabir Maikarfi 111 who died September 6, 2022.
Gambo, 59 years, holds a Higher National Diploma ( HND) in Mining Engineering from Kaduna Polytechnic, and was until his appointment , a Senior Manager at the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), Abuja.
He also worked at the Kogi State Ministry of Solid Mineral resources from 2, 000 to 2006 when he joined the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) Abuja.
The new Maigari was born on December 2, 1964 in Lokoja to the families of Late HRH, (Dr) Muhammadu Kabiru Maikarfi 111, and Late Hajiya Ummul-Kulsum Kabir Maikarfi.
