Adamawa – A twenty-five-year-old man, Elisha Tari has allegedly stoned two of his children, aged three and five years to death in Adamawa State.
The incident happened on Thursday, 18th of August, 2022 in the Himikidu community, Michika Local Government Area of the state.
Elisha was said to have killed the victims with stones and sticks which he had used in hitting them on their heads many times.
The incident was reported at the Divisional Police Headquarters, Michika by the grandfather of the victims.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the victims’ mother got separated from the suspect two months earlier after they had a misunderstanding.
Elisha was arrested while trying to escape to Cameroon and is currently in police custody undergoing interrogation to ascertain the reason behind the murder of his own biological children.
The state Commissioner of Police, Mr S. K. Akande expressed sadness over the in-human act.
He then directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police, CID, to take over the investigation and ensure the prosecution of the suspect to serve as a deterrent to others.
The Commissioner equally called on members of the public to always report to the police all acts of criminality within their locals.
