Ogun State Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun has congratulated the Senator representing Ogun Central, Salisu Afolabi Shuaib, on his victory at the National Assembly Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abeokuta.

The governor also congratulated Honourables Olatunji Akanni Akinosi, Olumide Osoba, and Adewunmi Oriyomi Onanuga representing Ado-Odo/Ota, Abeokuta/Obafemi-Owode/Odeda and Ikenne/Sagamu/Remo North Federal Constituencies respectively.

The tribunal had on Monday affirmed the elections of all the National Assembly members, dismissing the petitions of their opponents.

According to the governor, the tribunal’s verdicts confirmed the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the dominant party in the state and the affirmation of the good performance of the party at all levels of government

Abiodun urged the lawmakers to see their victory as a motivation to do more for the overall benefits of their constituents.

“Your victory at the tribunal bears testimony to the dominance of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in our state. It also confirmed that as a party, we have been delivering the dividends of democracy to our people.

“I urge you to see this victory as a challenge, which you must gladly take up. More are expected from you by your constituents, and you must not fail them,” the governor said.
