Abuja – The Director-General of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF), Dr Salihu Lukman has resigned from the position.
Sources said his resignation on Monday, January 17 follows calls on him by some governors to quit.
The governors who met in Abuja on Sunday, January 16 to fix a date for the national convention of the party were said to have expressed reservations about some of his public utterances on issues withing the group.
At the end of the meeting, the governors agreed to go ahead with the national convention scheduled to hold in February and passed a vote of confidence on the party’s caretaker committee led Yobe State governor, Mai Mala Buni. (vitalnews)
