The Ohinoyi of Girinyaland in Kogi Local Government area of Kogi State, Alhaji Mohammad Momoh Ganagunda, has commended and pledged total support for the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.
The Ohinoyi described the impact of the present administration on his people as visible and deeply felt.
The royal father made this declaration at Tuturu in Girinya during a medical outreach organised by the Kogi State Community and Social Development Agency (KGCSDA).
The medical outreach was organised by the KGCSDA to commemorate the second anniversary of Governor Ododo’s administration in Kogi State.

The outreach, held on Thursday, 5th February 2025, drew a large turnout of community members seeking medical attention and support.
Speaking at the event, the Ohinoyi praised the Ododo-led administration for prioritising grassroots development, particularly in the areas of health, access to potable water, and the provision of community halls.
According to him, these interventions have significantly improved the quality of life of the people across Girinyaland.
“Our people can now feel the presence of government.
“Health services have improved, water projects are easing daily struggles, and community infrastructure is bringing our people together.
“For this, we are grateful, and we stand firmly in support of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo,” the traditional ruler said.

Leading the KGCSDA delegation to the community, the General Manager of the agency, Alhaji (Chief) Momoh Dauda, reaffirmed the governor’s commitment to the welfare of rural communities.
He stressed that the administration remains keenly interested in the well-being and development of Girinya and similar communities across the state.
Dauda explained that the medical outreach was deliberately organised as part of the activities marking the second anniversary of Governor Ododo’s administration, reflecting the government’s people-centred approach to governance.
He said : “This outreach is our own way of celebrating the anniversary—by touching lives directly.
“Governor Ododo believes in bringing governance closer to the people, and we will continue to support communities like Girinya.”

Dauda then expressed satisfaction with the large turn out of residents for the medical intervention.
The outreach featured free medical consultations, distribution of drugs, and referrals for severe cases requiring advanced care. Not less than one hundred persons were attended to on the first day alone.
To symbolically declare the outreach open, the General Manager and the Ohinoyi were the first to be checked by medical personnel.
One of the beneficiaries,
Salamatu Isa, shared an emotional testimony of how the agency-supported health facility has transformed healthcare access in the community.
She revealed that she had delivered two of her babies at the facility.
“Before now, we used to travel very far for antenatal care and immunisation.
“It was stressful and costly. But now, things have changed.
“We have a health facility here, and it has made life easier for mothers like me,” She stated.

As part of the programme, the Nutrition Support Project targeting vulnerable groups in the community was also flagged off under the Nigeria Community Action for Resilience and Economic Stimulus (NG-CARES) initiative.
This further reinforces the administration’s focus on social protection and human capital development.
Earlier in the day, before proceeding to the outreach venue, Alhaji Chief Momoh Dauda paid a courtesy visit to the Ohinoyi at his palace, where he congratulated the monarch on his recent upgrade to a first-class status, describing it as well-deserved recognition of his leadership and service to his people.
The medical outreach at Tuturu, Girinya, stood as both a celebration of two years of the Ododo administration and a practical demonstration of its commitment to inclusive development, community health, and the welfare of ordinary citizens across Kogi State.
