President Bola Tinubu Congratulates Matthew Tonlagha On 50th Birthday

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Matthew Tonlagha, a renowned Nigerian entrepreneur and philanthropist, on his 50th birthday coming up on February 8, 2026.

President Tinubu in a goodwill message to Mathew Tonlagha praised his contributions to community-building and nation-building.

President Tinubu in the goodwill message personally signed by him, commended Tonlagha’s efforts in securing oil and gas infrastructure in the Niger Delta and his philanthropic work, including sponsoring education, medical services and other humanitarian activities across the country.

The President noted that Tonlagha’s decision to unveil a book on his 50th birthday is a testament to his pursuit of knowledge and commitment to chronicling his experiences.

The President urged Tonlagha to continue his community-building efforts, providing scholarships, funding skill-acquisition programs, and supporting vulnerable communities in the country.

I congratulate Matthew Tonlagha, a distinguished Nigerian entrepreneur and philanthropist, on his 50th birthday on February 8.

Attaining the age of 50 is a significant milestone, and I join Tonlagha’s friends and family to celebrate this special occasion.

It is fitting that he is unveiling a book as part of the activities to mark his 50th birthday.

I commend him for his pursuit of knowledge and chronicling for posterity.

I also acknowledge Tonlagha’s years of effort in community-building and, by extension,
nation-building through his advocacies for the Niger Delta communities.

I commend the entrepreneur, who is the founder of Maton Engineering Limited, for his contributions to securing oil and gas infrastructure across multiple states in the Niger Delta.

I encourage Tonlagha to sustain his community-building efforts and philanthropy, including sponsoring education and medical services, providing scholarships, funding skill-acquisition programmes, and supporting vulnerable communities across the Niger Delta.
