The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) says 50 out of 303 students abducted from St Mary’s Private Catholic Primary and Secondary Schools in Papiri, Agwara Local Government, Niger State, have escaped from bandits.
Bulus Dauwa Yohana, Chairman, CAN, Niger State, confirmed this in a statement on Sunday.
Yohana, who also double as the Catholic bishop of Kontagora diocese, said the pupils escaped from captivity and regained their freedom between Friday and Saturday.
