The Ministry of Steel Development has concluded plans to host its maiden National Steel Summit in Abuja from Wednesday, July 16 to Thursday, July 17 2025.
The summit is part of the ministry’s ongoing efforts to rebuild and unlock the Nation’s Steel potentials.
The theme: “Rebuilding and Consolidating Nigeria’s Steel Industry: Collaborative Action for Sustainable Growth and Global Competitiveness”.

Permanent Secretary , Ministry of Steel Development said in a statement that the
landmark event, is directly inspired by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
He described the summit as a crucial step in repositioning the Steel Industry as the cornerstone of Nigeria’s industrial growth and economic resilience.

“The Summit aims to bring together key stakeholders to critically evaluate the state of the steel industry, explore investment opportunities, identify policy and infrastructure gaps, and adopt a consensus roadmap for the revival and sustainable development of Nigeria’s steel sector,” Isokpunwu said.
According to him, highlights of the Summit include a Special Keynote address to be delivered by His Excellency, the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, Technical Sessions while other dignitaries will deliver Special Briefs.
The summit which will start 9am daily will hold at the Nigerian Air force Conference Centre, Jahi, Abuja. (vitalnewsngr.com)
