FG reconstitutes boards of parastatals under Federal Ministry of Transportation

Abuja – President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the re-constitution of members of the Governing Boards of Parastatals under Ministry Transportation.

The Director of Press and Public Relations, Federal Ministry of Transport, Eric Ojiekwe, who confirmed this in a statement in Abuja.

He listed the parastatals to include the Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC), Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology (NITT), Maritime Academy of Nigeria, Oron (MAN, ORON), National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA) and the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA)

The Board members are as follows: Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC), Lawal Sama’ila Abdullahi, Chairman, Rufai Ahmed Akambi , member, Usen Ekong Udoh , member, Otunba Oluseyi Oduntan, member, Violet Oliatan Williams, member, Mohammed Allamin Kam-Salem, member and Hon. Emmanuel Lyambee Jime, Executive Secretary/CEO

For the Nigerian Institute of Transport Technology (NITT) are ,Hon Ejike Njeze, Chairman, Alh. Amuda Seriki, member, Mr Muhiydeen Sani Awwal, member, Mr. Paul Eluhaiwe, member, Hon. Gbenga Elegbeleye, member, Sen. Tutare Abubakar, member while Dr Bayaro S. Farah is the Director-General/CEO

For the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Chief Akinwunmi Ricketts is the Chairman while members are Sen. Ayogu Eze, Ghazali Moh’d,
Abdullazeez Nyako, Abdulwahab Adeshina, Mustapha Aminu Dutse,
Ms. Adenrele Susana Adeshina , Executive Director, Finance while Mohammed Bello Koko is still the Managing Director/CEO

The inauguration of the Boards by the Minister of Transportation will be conveyed in due course, the statement said. (vitalnews)
