Nigeria’s national women’s basketball team, D’Tigress have just qualified for the quarter-finals of the ongoing 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

D ‘Tigers beat Canada 79 – 70 to achieve the feat.

They beat World number 3 Australia in the first group game and World number 5 Canada in their final game to make it to the last 8.

This is the first time Nigeria is qualifying for the quarter finals of the Olympic Games, beating Canada, ranked 5th in the world. (vitalnewsngr.com)
