The Inauguration and Retreat for Pro-Chancellors, Chairmen and Members of Governing Councils of Federal Tertiary Institutions, earlier scheduled for Thursday, 30th and Friday, 31st May 2024 has been postponed indefinitely.
The Federal Ministry of Education announced the postponement of the events in a statement on Sunday.
Folasade Boriowo, Director, Press & PR, Federal Ministry of Education, signed the statement.
She said the postponement was necessitated by a directive from President Bola Tinubu who has ordered for a comprehensive review of the membership of the Governing Councils of Federal Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria.
