Governor Hyacinth Alia, has expressed sadness over the death of a former Military Administrator of Benue State, Group Captain Joshua Obademi.
Sir Tersoo Kula, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor Alia said in a statement in Makurdi on Saturday.
The Late Group Captain Joshua Obademi, who died on Friday, May 10th, 2024, at the age of 73, was the Administrator of Benue State, during the military regime of Late General Sani Abacha, from December 1993 to August 1996.
The Governor described the late Military Administrator as someone who was dedicated, and had contributed greatly to the development of Benue, especially through the promotion of functional literacy for women in the state.
He says the functional literacy programme of the late Obademi, helped in the improvement of health and economic development of the State.
He added that the history of Benue State as whole will be incomplete without the contributions of the late Military Administrator.
While he prays to God to grant his immediate family members, friends, the people of Benue and Ondo States and Nigeria as whole, the fortitude to bear this great loss, the governor prays to God to grant the late Military Administrator eternal rest.
