Kogi Govt. Decries Slow Pace Of Work On Odenyi-Oguma-Sheria Bridge Project

Kogi State Government has expressed dissatisfaction with the slow pace of work on the Odenyi -Oguma- Sheria road / bridge project currently under construction.

The State Commissioner for Works, Engr Mohammed Ahovi Yusuf expressed the dissatisfaction at Oguma in Bassa local government area of the state during an inspection visit to the project.

Yusuf who frowned at the lack of professionalism and lackadaisical attitude of the contractor, saying that the project had been stalled for a long time without any cogent reason.

He therefore charged the contractor to expedite action on the project to complete it before the rainy season sets in.

Yusuf emphasized the commitment of the state government and the determination of His Excellency, Alh Usman Ahmed Ododo to deliver on the promises of alleviating the sufferings of the people in the area.

The Transition Committee Chairman of Bassa Local Government, Mr Theophilus Adama who appreciated the state government for the project berated the slow pace of work and appealed to the government to facilitate the completion of the project.

Also, an indigene of the area, Comrade Dangara Daniel commended the state government for the visit and requested the government to intensify efforts and ensure that the project was completed within the specified period. (vitalnewsngr.com)
