The Labour Party Candidate in the November 11 governorship election in Kogi State, Barr. Adejoh Okeme, has promised to revitalise the economy of the state if elected.
Adejoh told newsmen in Lokoja on Thursday that the state has what it takes to compete favourably with other states in the country, blaming the backwardness of the state on successive myopic leaderships.
He promised to tap into the abundant natural resources for the benefit of the people, saying the tag of civil service state on Kogi State is unacceptable.
Adejoh , promised to develop the education, health sectors of the state, saying that agriculture and the vast solid mineral deposits that abound in the state will be developed.
The governorship candidate also promised massive road and housing construction for civil servants and other residents.
He said payment if percentage salary to local government staff and UBE teachers will become a thing of the past under his administration.
While promising massive job creation, Adejoh said his administration will cater for the people, especially the aged and vulnerable.
