Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has flagged off the distribution of the state sponsored palliatives to residents in the 21 local government areas of the state.

Bello, who flagged off the distribution of the palliatives on Tuesday in Lokoja said it was to complement the efforts to cushion the effects of the removal of fuel subsidy on the people.

He said that ward by ward distribution system will be adopted for the sharing of the items to ensure that it gets to the people irrespective of their political leanings.

The governor directed all his appointees to coordinate the distribution of the items to ensure efficiency in the sharing process.

He warned that any of them found culpable of politicising or short changing the people in the palliative sharing process will be exposed.
