The management of the Federal College of Education ( FCE), Okene, Kogi State, has congratulated Mrs Elizabeth Omolade Adeyemi nee Apalowo for winning the Best Teacher Award for 2023.
The management said Mrs Adeyemi, an alumnae of the FCE Okene has brought honour to the delight of former and present students of the college by winning the award.
A statement issued on Saturday by the college commended Mrs Adeyemi for her dedication and commitment to her teaching profession as manifested by the award conferred on her on October 5 by the Federal Government.
Jibril Abdulrahaman, Director of Information, in the office of the college signed the statement .
“Apalowo Omolade graduated from the College in 2006 and read Computer/ Physics. She hails from Omuo – Ekiti,in Ekiti State,” the statement said.
She was presented with the award of the Best Teacher of the year by Vice President Kashim Shettima at the Eagle Square, Abuja.
The award was accompanied with a certificate and a brand new car from the Federal Government
“As the saying goes, may our labour not be in vain.
“That justifies the commitment and efficiency of an alumnus of the College who in the last sixteen years, has dedicated herself in the world respected profession of teaching and has been spotted and certified as the best teacher in the country 2023 by the federal government.
“The pedigree of Federal College of Education, Okene, in the last 49 years of her existence in the production of well trained teachers is unequal.
“That is in affirmation of her motto, knowledge par excellence.
“The College Management wishes you greater heights and more achievements in your profession. Congratulations!,” Abdulrahaman said in the statement.
