Lokoja – Kogi State government has ordered the closure of all public and private schools in the state to enable staff and students participate fully in the coming general elections scheduled for February 25 and March 11.

A statement from the state
Ministry of Education, Science and Technology said the closure is with effect from Wednesday 22nd February.

It directed the schools to resume on Monday 13th March, 2023.

“Meanwhile, Management and Teachers of Schools are not affected by this directive,” the statement signed by Mr Mathew Salami, Director, Basic and Secondary Education said.
