Apprehension In Kogi West APC Over James Faleke’s Anti-Party Activities
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Lokoja – A disastrous outing is awaiting the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Kogi State unless Hon. James Faleke stop his anti-party activities and surreptious support for opposition candidates in Kogi West senatorial district

A socio-political group, Kogi West Conscience, who stated this said that Tinubu and other candidates of the party contesting the 2023 elections have been programmed to fail in the elections as a result of the anti-party activities of Faleke in Kogi West senatorial district.

Ademola Bakare, National President of the group said in a statement on Tuesday

Faleke, a native of Ekinrin Ade, Ijumu Local Government, Kogi State, currently represents Ikeja Federal Constituency of Lagos State in the House of Representatives .

He is also the Secretary of Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council.

The group accused of Faleke of sponsoring and backing candidates of opposition parties in Kogi West against the candidates of the APC in the 2023 general elections.

It expressed disgust that a man of Faleke status in the party is openly engaging in anti-party activities in Kogi West with impunity.

It cited his action during a recent meeting of APC stakeholders in Kabba where he openly announced his support for the national assembly candidates of opposition parties as a deliberate afront on the sensibilities of good spirited members of APC in the zone.

The group called on the national leadership of the APC to immediately call Faleke to order and prevent him from doing further damage to the morale and psyche of genuine members of the party in Kogi West .

“Failure to this, the party should braze up for the imminent crisis that will soon erupt in the party as a result of Faleke’s brazen anti-party activities,” the group said .

Bakare, in the statement also accused some party leaders joining Faleke to be working against all APC candidates in Kogi West.

He said party members are now confused and in disarray as a result of Faleke’s open support for opposition candidates, saying that the party cannot go into the coming election in the present bad situation it has been plunged into.

According to him, it is worrisome that the national secretary of the party’s presidential campaign council, James Faleke, is working against his political god-father, Senator Bola Tinubu who is flying the party’s presidential flag and other candidates of the party in Kogi West

” Faleke, the deputy governorship candidate of the party in the 2015 Kogi State guber polls, is not hiding his anti-party activities in Kogi State as he has allegedly endorsed House of Representatives candidates of opposition parties in the state.

“It is no longer a secret that James Faleke only works for APC in Lagos State and the party’s presidential candidate.

“He has pitted his tent with the candidates of his ‘actual party’, African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the two federal constituencies in Okun land; Yagba and Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu.

“Last weekend, Faleke played host to APC stakeholders in Kogi West and to our surprise, he invited the House of Reps candidates of ADC, Leke Abejide and Idris Salman to the event.

“Not only did he invite them, he practically endorsed them in the presence of APC stakeholders.

“He didn’t hide his hatred for APC in Kogi West and made it clear that his sole interest is his god-father emerging president of the nation.

“It is important to note that APC lost all House of Reps seats in Kogi West in 2019 due to anti-party activities.

” We regained the senate seat through the doggedness of Governor Yahaya Bello and Senator Smart Adeyemi,” he said.

The group warned that Faleke should not take active APC members in Kogi West for granted as they have capacity to pay him back in his own coin during the presidential polls.

“If the party fails to call Faleke to order in Kogi West, we will reciprocate his gesture accordingly when casting votes for our preferred presidential candidate in 2023.

“Kogi West electorate are not cheap people who worship money.

“We are a people that cherish and value integrity. sincerity of purpose and reliable character.

“If some persons think they are the richest in Kogi West and can call anybody’s bluff, we owe our ancestors a duty to protect our cherished values.

“Kogi West has never been for sale and won’t be sold cheaply in our time.” (vitalnewsngr.com)
