Ibadan – The management of Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan has decided not to renew the contract of it’s technical crew under the former Coach Edith Agoye
The affected coaches are: Kabiru Alausa, Yinka Popoola Gullit, Lateef Yusuf, Kola Ige and Yomi Adigun.
The new Coach Gbenga Ogunbote will be coming with his two assistant coaches.
Though, the services of some technical crew under the former Coach Edith Agoye might still be needed if the Oracle choose to.
Gbenga Ogunbote is already in town to put pen to paper and sign a contract with the Oluyole Warriors
The unveiling of Ogunbote will hold soon.
The immediate past Chief Coach of Remo Stars of Ikenne, Gbenga Ogunbote had agreed on personal terms with Shooting Stars Sports Club, of Ibadan, with a view to taking charge of the club in the upcoming 2022/2023 Nigeria Professional League campaign (NPFL).
Details of his deal with Shooting Stars are still sketchy, but it is thought that he will fill the void vacated by Edith Agoye, who left the Oluyole Warriors, last week, after a nine-year stint, following the club’s brush with relegation, after finishing 16th on the 20 teams NPFL table.
This will be Ogunbote‘s second time in charge of 3SC, having helped in rescuing the team from the drop a few years back.
Ogunbote, a former two-time Head Coach of Sunshine Stars, had in the recent past had a stint with Enugu Rangers, is increasingly earning a reputation of not staying in any club, beyond one season. ( vitalnewsngr.com)
