The Nigeria Correctional Service (NCS), has confirmed the escape of three inmates from the Ijebu-Ode Custodial Centre, Ogun State.
The Public Relation Officer of the NCS in the state,Victor Oyeleke confirmed the escape of the prison inmates on Tuesday in Abeokuta.
Oyeleke gave their names as Hammed Adeboyejo, Fatai Akande and Aliu Oguntona.
He said the trio escaped from prison at about 3 am of Saturday , December 24, 2023.
“It happened early hours of Saturday morning around 3am.
“A search party to bring the three of them back has been raised.
“We have their biometrics and we have contacts of their families.
“We are working together with other sister agencies and in good time they will be brought back,” Oyeleke said.
Adeboyejo until his escape from prison was convicted for armed robbery and murder; while Akande and Oguntona were convicted for murder and sexual offences respectively (vitalnewsngr.com)
