Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has congratulated the Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) , retired Brig.- Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa on the occasion of his 71st birthday today, September 9, 2024.
Sanwo-olu felicitated with Marwa in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Gboyega Akosile, on Monday.
Sanwo-Olu noted that Marwa contributed his quota to the growth and development of Lagos State from 1996 to 1999 when he served as the Military Administrator of the state.
While extolling his virtues, Sanwo-Olu described Marwa, as “An epitome of dedication, selflessness and discipline in public service.”
He also hailed the former Lagos State Military Administrator’s efforts in tackling transportation challenges amid the ever-increasing population of the state during his regime.
The statement read : “Governor Sanwo-Olu praises the administrative prowess, loyalty and commitment of Gen. Marwa to the Nigerian project, describing him as an epitome of dedication, selflessness and discipline in public service.
“The Governor remembers with fondness how the former military administrator of Lagos State tackled the transportation challenge during his tenure and his efforts at bridging the housing deficit that reared its ugly head as a result of the ever-increasing population density of the State.
