The Tinubu Media Volunteers (TMV) have described the upgrade of 901 Primary Healthcare Centres across the country by the federal government as a key step towards the manifestation of the Renewed Hope agenda in the health sector.
Thw group made this observation in a statement signed by its Chairman Chukwudi Enekwechi and Secretary Shedrach Sunday.
It noted that the upgrade is part of the administration’s larger plan to ensure a new lease of life for Nigerians.
The statement read in part : “We note that as part of the federal government’s plan to provide one functional Primary Health Centre in every ward of the country, a total of 901 Primary Healthcare Centres have been revitalized in Nigeria in the past year.
“The federal government’s ultimate plan is to provide round-the-clock health services to Nigerians, and this is in tandem with President Tinubu’s desire to see to the well-being of all Nigerians.
“Additionally, we applaud the ongoing upgrade of over 2,700 Primary Health Centres, which is to be completed by the end of 2025.
“As a group, we are gladdened that President Tinubu’s administration is focused on delivering on his campaign promises.
“Definitely with the revitalization of the 901 Primary Healthcare Centres and more to come, the administration is delivering on all the sectors as provided in Tinubu’s campaign manifesto.
“We can, therefore, say without equivocation that contrary to suggestions in certain quarters that the health sector was being neglected under the Tinubu administration, it is getting a new lease of life as seen in efforts to revitalize Primary Healthcare Centres.”
The group urged all Nigerians to exercise patience with the administration as it moves to improve all sectors of the economy. (vitalnewsngr.com)
