No Single Nation Can Walk The Road To Sustainability Alone – Tinubu To Global Audience In Abu Dhabi

The Democratic Front (TDF) has pointed to the rising profile of Nigeria’s President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the emerging leader of the long-awaited African economic renaissance.

The Chairman of TDF, Mr Muhammad Danjuma, stated this in a statement on Thursday.

According to Danjuma, the Nigerian President has, on account of the successes recorded by his sweeping economic reforms, become the bride of leaders and governments across the world, on matters that pertain to African economic development, and the integrity of the black race.

“The trend is that in addition to providing enviable leadership at a sub-regional level as the Chairman of ECOWAS in West Africa, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has consistently utilized every forum to highlight the developmental potentials of the continent and to also remind its leaders of their responsibilities as the economic torch bearers of the continent.

“It is impressively heartwarming for us to observe that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has inadvertently wormed his way into the hearts of millions of people in Africa, whose attention has been drawn to the impactful deliverables of his courageous economic reforms, and his determination to invent a sustainable middle class in Nigeria, that will serve as a model for the rest of the countries in the continent.

“Barely 19 months into his administration in Nigeria, President Bola Tinubu has become the cynosure of all eyes in every gathering where important issues relating to Africa and the global economic challenges are discussed.

“His courageous and memorable keynote address at the swearing- -ceremony of the newly elected Ghanaian President John Mahama, elicited so much hope and confidence among young Africans, as it heralded a new dawn for Africa’s economic renaissance, in a fashion that reminds many people of the days of late President Kwame Nkrumah of Ghana.

“Even his recent motivational discussions with President Paul Kagame of Rwanda, and the confidence with which he expressed the ability and readiness of the continent to develop itself, was emotionally reminiscent of the patriotic political will exhibited by Nigeria’s first Prime Minister Tafawa Balewa when he advocated for the independence of
Southern Rhodesia (present-day Zimbabwe) at the United Nations General Assembly on 7th October 1960.

“We entertain no doubt in our minds that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is currently blazing the trail of Africa’s socio-economic irredentism, which will propel African leaders and their people to believe more in their common destiny, in the effort to address the underdevelopment of the continent, without prejudice to the economic interest and culture of other continents of the world.

‘The sporadic surge in the profile of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership in Africa is largely influenced by the credibility and workability of his home-grown economic reforms, which have seen Nigeria through global economic headwinds to the verge of becoming the leading economy in Africa.

“The Democratic Front, therefore, enjoin African leaders to emulate President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s style of selfless, dynamic, and inward-looking leadership as a necessary motivation for economic growth and inclusive political development of the continent,” TDF said. (vitalnewsngr.com)
