Ilorin – Undergraduate students of Kwara State origin in public-owned tertiary institutions in Nigeria have been advised to apply for the payment of N10,000 cash support recently approved for them by Governor AbdulRahaman AbdulRazaq.
The Chairman, Government Committee on students’ palliative, Prof. Shehu AbdulRaheem Adaramaja announced this in a statement in Ilorin on Monday.
He said all eligible student applicants have between 7th August, 2023 and midnight 30th August, 2023 to register.
“Prospective students to visit the link https://scholarship.kw.gov.ng/palliative. Click on “Students’ palliative ” link to Register your bio-data on the platform to obtain login details.
“Verification through the registered email address provided on the platform
Use your login details with your password to fill the application form online.
“Scan and upload the following documents online (mandatory); Recent Passport size photograph.
Citizenship Certificate.
Your Admission Letter.
Your Institutional Valid I.D Card,” the statement said.
It would be recalled that the Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq had the payment of N10, 000 cash support to each of the student to cushion the effects of fuel subsidy removal
The payment is one-off in its scope, and different from annual bursary award, which covered only final year students of tertiary schools.
The Governor had recently also raised the bursary award from N5,000 to N10,000 for final year students. (vitalnewsngr.com)
