Anambra – The Anambra State Governor, Charles Chukwuma
Soludo, has sent a delegation to commiserate with Mr Jibril Ahmed, the husband of the pregnant woman killed by gunmen alongside her four children in Anambra State on Sunday, May 22.
The delegation that included the state Commissioner of Information, Paul Nwosu; Commissioner of Women and Social Development, Ify Ibinabo and the Press Secretary
to the Governor,Christian Aburime among others.
The delegation met with Jubril Ahmed at the cattle market, Amansea where Paul Nwosu delivered Soludo’s condolence message to Jibril Ahmed.
He said that the killing of his wife, Harira, and children was not a targeted attack on a particular tribe or religion.
Apart from Harira’s husband, others who were present during the visit were the late Harira’s younger sister, Suweiba Musa, Chairman of Amansea Cattle market, Alhaji Bello Maigari and some members of the Hausa community in Amansea.
The leader of Miyetti Allah in the South-East, Mallam Gidado Sadiq, thanked Soludo for the condolence visit.
He added that many Northerners are already leaving the state because of the incident, saying that the governor’s action may encourage them to have a rethink.
Sadiq said the Hausa community is ready to work with the state government to bring about peace and security in the state.
Harira’s husband was presented with a cash donation by the delegation.
Jibril who hails from Adamawa State works as a security guard
in the state.
