Protest : Osun Orders Closure Of All Schools

Osun State State Government has ordered the closure of all primary and secondary schools in the state from Wednesday, July 31, 2024.

The government which made the order on Monday said the directive affects both public and private schools.

The Permanent Secretary, in the State Ministry of Education, Mr A. Jimoh, announced the closure of the schools in a statement in Osogbo.

Government said the decision became necessary following endbadgovernance nationwide protest scheduled for Thursday , August 1.

The statement reads in part that : “This is to inform the general public, particularly parents, guardians and heads of both public and private schools in the state that due to the planned nationwide protests, all schools are directed to proceed on the third term vacation From Wednesday 31st July, 2023.
