Lokoja – The Kogi State Commissioner of police, Bethrand Onuoha has presented Cheques worth N4.7million to the nex of kins of eight police officers who died while in active service
The guesture to the next of kins was under the IGP Family Welfare Insurance Scheme.
SP William Ovye Aya, the state police command Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed this in a statement in Lokoja on Thursday.
He said the Assistant Commissioner of Police in charge of Administration ; Rufus Odediran presented the cheques to the beneficiaries on behalf of the Commissioner.
Speaking, Odediran appreciated the Ag. IGP Kayode Egbetokun, for his kind gesture .
He appealed to the families to make good use of the money while wishing them safe journey back to their various destinations.
The beneficiaries, who spoke one after the other thanked the Ag. IGP and the State Police Command for the support and promised to make judicious use of the money. (vitalnewsngr.com)
