The National Working Committee (NWC) of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has dissolved the party’s Executive Committee in Ekiti State with immediate effect.
The National Publicity Secretary of the party, Debo Ologunagba announced the dissolution in a statement on Friday.
According the him, the decision was taken after a careful deliberations and extensive consultations, on behalf of the National Executive Committee and pursuant to Sections 29(2)(b) and 31(2)(e) of the Constitution of the PDP as amended.
”On behalf of NEC, the NWC of the party approved the appointment of Ekiti State Caretaker Committee to run the affairs of the Party in the State for a period of three months effective from today in line with the party constitution,” he said.
The NWC appointed Arch. Sadiq Obanoyen as Chairman of the PDP Ekiti State Caretaker Committee.
It urged all leaders, critical stakeholders and teeming members of the party in Ekiti State to remain united and focused on the task ahead.(vitalnewsngr.com)
