“I am happy that these judgements were passed because they have been lingering for some time and others will go on trial.

“For you to practice pharmacy in Nigeria, you are granted license which is renewed every year.

“So, for the next three years, they will not have the license to practice,” he said.

Prof Mora explained that the four cases were among eight others brought before the tribunal.

In an interview after the judgement, the Registrar of PCN Babashehu Ahmed said the cases bothered on professional misconduct which were taken through investigation before the disciplinary tribunal.

“The decision of the PCN Disciplinary Tribunal signifies that the Council is effectively using the instruments that actually set it up which of course has the overall goal of ensuring that the pharmaceutical practice, education and training are properly conducted with some measures on ground to ensure that whoever in anyway fails to comply with expected objectives should be appropriately sanctioned,” he maintained.

The Registrar expressed the hope that the judgement would serve as a deterrent to other practitioners. (vitalnewsngr.com/thetrumpet)
