Ododo Lauds IPAC For Promoting Unity Among Kogi Political Actors

Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi State has commended the leadership of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) in Kogi State for promoting unity among political actors in the state.

Ododo gave the commendation when he received the state executive members of IPAC led by its chairman, Hon. Ilyas Badanga at the Government House, Lokoja.

The governor commend the state IPAC leadership for deviating from the usual culture of divisive politics.

He assured that his administration is committed to strengthening relationship with the IPAC in providing purposeful leadership that will shape the policies and programmes of the government in the interest of the people.

Ododo stated that the era of demarketing the state by political actors should be left in the past, urging political actors to provide positive evaluation of his administration by offering superior options in policies and programmes that will have direct impact on the lives of the people.

He said : “As politicians, it is time to come together to remarket the entire state by towing the lane that will lead to its development as demonstrated by the leadership of IPAC which has put ideas forward that will promote politics of inclusion for the peace and unity of the people of the state.”

Speaking, the IPAC Chairman, Hon. Ilyas Badanga expressed appreciation to Governor Ododo for his humane disposition and open-door policy which he noted has ensured cordial working relationship with key political actors in the state.

He said the governor’s action has been promoting good governance in the state.

The Chairman assured that IPAC is prepared for further engagement with the government to collectively agree on how best to ensure a free and fair conduct of the forthcoming local government election in the state.

He further commended Governor Ododo for his efforts in sustaining infrastructural development and improvement in the prompt payment of workers’ salaries in the state.

In his remarks, the Special Adviser on Political Matters to the Governor, Alhaji Haddy Ametuo praised members of IPAC for closing ranks with the government of the day by the visit to the Governor.

He assured that the Kogi State Government under Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo will do everything possible to prioritize the wellbeing of the people and unite them irrespective of their political affiliations.
