Edo – The Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) has raised alarm over the kidnap of three lawyers along Benin – Auchi road in Edo State.
The association in a statement gave the names of the kidnapped lawyers as Fred Aburu, Isreal Unurierume and Eda Gbejule.
They were kidnapped on Wednesday , February 2 along with their driver simply identified as Kome Esike, the NBA said.
Chief Emmanuel Uti, Chairman, NBA Warri branch who signed the statement said the lawyers are still in the custody of their abductors as at the time of this report.
He appealed to other security agencies in the state to team up with the operatives of the Nigeria Police, Edo State Command to ensure the safe release of the victims.
“This act of kidnapping calls for a revisit of the branch resolution that, our branch members should not appear for any accused charged with kidnapping.
” While we await further information from the security agencies, we are enjoined to remember our colleagues in our prayers for their safe release. (vitalnews)
