Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State will on Friday, July 12, 2024 formally present the staff of office to the new olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakunlehin.
The state commissioner for information , Prince Dotun oyelade confirmed this in a statement in Ibadan on Friday.
Makinde had courted controversies when he announced that Olakulehin will formally be coronated when he is restored to his full health.
The statement did not go down with sons and daughters of Ibadanland who quickly accused him of playing politics with the coveted throne.
However, Oyelade , said the insinuations and mischievous innuendos have not derailed Governor seyi makinde from the path of justice and fairness
The Commissioner said that : ”our people must learn to be patient and believe an Administration that has not let the down on 5 years.”
He then advised the people of Oyo State and Ibadan in particular to await the spectacle of the Coronation and presentation of the staff of office on July 12. (vitalnewsngr.com)
