Ibadan – Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has donated N25 million to the victims of Bodija plank marker fire disaster.
Makinde who made the donation on Wednesday while on a sympathy visit to the victims said the money was to provide immediate relief and succour to the victims.
He sympathised with traders that lost their goods to the fire disaster which occurred on Tuesday.
The governor, who was accompanied by some top government functionaries inspected the scene of the fire disaster and assessed the level of damage done to the market
The governor equally informed the affected traders that the Ibadan North Local Government Council will undertake the rehabilitation of the inner roads in the Market.
The post reads: “Earlier today, we visited Bodija Plank Market to inspect the level of damage caused by the fire incident yesterday.
“I commiserated with traders who lost goods and directed that an immediate palliative of N25 million be given to them.
“I also informed them that the Ibadan North Local Government Council would rehabilitate Bodija Market inner roads,” the governor said in the post. (vitalnewsngr.com)
