The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, has been impeached.
He was impeached by his colleagues during plenary on Monday.
A female member of the house , Rt. Hon. Meranda Mojisola Lasbat has been elected the new Speaker.
The oath of office was immediately administered on her.
Rt. Hon. Meranda Mojisola Lasbat has now make history as the first female Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly.
