Kogi Students Pass Vote of Confidence On Governor Ododo

The Joint Campus Committee, National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Kogi State chapter, has applauded Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for his commitment to advancement of education in the state.

The committee which gave the commendation on Tuesday in Lokoja during a World Press Conference also expressed gratitude Governor Ododo for his dedication to the welfare of students of the state origin in tertiary institutions across the country.

Comrade Gomina Ahmad Kabir, Chairman, Joint Campus Committee, National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Kogi State chapter, commended Governor Ododo’s warm and genuine disposition to the welfare of Kogi State students since assumption of duties.

Kabir while passing a vote of confidence on the Governor Ododo on behalf of his members also acknowledged and reaffirmed their implicit confidence in the governor and his administration.

Kabir said : “We have come together to express our unwavering support and to pass a vote of confidence on His Excellency, the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for his exceptional contributions towards the development of the educational sector and his consistent prioritization of students’ welfare.

“Over the past few months, we have witnessed a series of impactful initiatives, policies and projects that directly benefit the students of this state.

“His Excellency’s administration has shown an unrelenting commitment to fostering an environment where students can thrive academically, socially and professionally.”

The student Leader highlighted some of the laudable achievements of Governor Ododo’s administration in the sector, such as the improvement in infrastructure, enhanced campus security, and support for technological advancements and digital learning.

The students also expressed delight over the governor’s commitment to job creation and youth empowerment, promotion of inclusiveness and students’ participation in governance, and sustaining the policy of free education at lower level.

He added that his intention to increase and digitalize bursary payment was also a clear indication that the administration values education.

“In light of these accomplishments and many others, we, the students of Kogi State, are proud to stand firmly behind Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo.

“We acknowledge the positive transformation that his administration has brought to our institution and the broader education sector”.

“His Excellency has demonstrated that he’s not only a leader, but also a father-figure to the students, ensuring that our voices are heard and our needs met”.

“As we pass this vote of confidence, we also call on our fellow students to continue supporting the administration of Governor Ododo.

“Let us all play our part in building the Kogi State of our dreams by remaining committed to our studies, participating actively in Civic duties, and contributing to the peace and progress of our institutions and our state.

“As leaders, we must resist every attempt by those who don’t mean well for our our state to make us involve in any act capable of halting the wheel of progress steadily grinding in Kogi State.

“We look forward to even greater achievements under his leadership and assure him of our continued support.”
