Kogi NLC Commends Bello Over Implementation Of 2018 Promotion

Lokoja – The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has commended Governor Yayaha Bello of Kogi State for given approval for the implementation of 2028 promotion for workers in the state civil service.

The state Chairman of the NLC, Onuh Edoka gave the commendation during a press conference in Lokoja on Thursday.

He also thanked the Governor for giving the state Civil Service Commission the go ahead to conduct 2019 to 2022 promotion exercises for workers.

Edoka appreciated Bello for
always putting smiles on the faces of workers in the State, saying that his name will forever be written in history book as a leader whose tenure recorded remarkable achievement within a short period of time.

He equally thanked the Kogi State Head of Service, Mrs Hannah Odiyo and the Chairman, Civil Service Commission, Barrister Muhammed Tanko Musa for their positive roles which helped in securing the approvals from the state government.

“Words alone cannot express our profound gratitude to our workers friendly Governor in Kogi State, Governor Bello has again proven his critics wrong that he talks and act on his words.

“The harmonious relationship between labour and the state government is highly commendable.

“The present administration has made meaningful impacts in health, infrastructural development, education and many more.

“Under his watch, the current administration single handedly built Ganaja fly over, rehabilitated Kogi Specialist Hospital, built Okene Reference Hospital which is a world class health center, built other health facilities across the three senatorial districts, constructed roads across the state and he also transformed our educational centers by building schools and many more.

“We can’t mention all he has done because of time. All we have to say is that, Kogi Workers appreciate his good work in our dear state.

“Our prayers is that God will give him more wisdom to transform and meet the needs of workers and the entire state in general,” he said.

The Chairman urged all workers in the state to continue to support the government of Alhaji Yahaya Bello, adding that, the organised labour will do the needful to ensure that the present administration succeed 100 per cent.

“The Nigeria Labour Congress will continue to support the activities and programmes of the Government with a view of ensuring that the dividend of democracy is greatly felt by workers in the State.

“We equally call on workers to show a maximum understanding to the Labour Leaders in the State as we are still following up issues that has to do with their welfare in achieving the best for them.”
