Lokoja – Members of the Kogi State House of Assembly on Friday impeached four principal officers of the house.
Those impeached are the Deputy Speaker, Hon. Ahmed Ahmed of Ankpa 1 state constituency, Majority Leader, Hon. Abdulahi Balogun aka Chop knuckle, Ajaokuta state constituency, Deputy Majority Leader, Hon. Idris Ndako, Lokoja 2 state constotuency and Chief Whip, Hon. Moses Ododo of Dekina 1 state constituency.
Three of impeached lawmakers are also suspended from participating in the activities of the house till further notice.
They are the former Deputy Speaker, Majority Leader and the Chief Whip.
Meanwhile, new officers have elected and sworn in to take over their positions.
They are Hon. Rabiu Alfa Isaka, Deputy Speaker, Hon.Idah Umar, Deputy Majority Leader, Muktar Bajeh from Okehi, Majority Leader and Hom. Ahmed Dahiru, Okene 2 as Chief Whip. (vitalnewsngr.com)
