Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State has given assurances that the six pupils, teachers and their drivers that were kidnapped by bandits will rescued very soon.
Oyebanji gave the assurances while commiserating with the families of the victims.
The governor who spoke through his Special Adviser on media, Yinka Oyebode expressed confidence in the ability of the security agents to rescue the victims as soon as possible.
The victims all of The Apostolic Faith Nursery/Primary School were kidnapped on Monday at Emure Ekiti while going in the school’s to Eporo Ekiti.
The governor urged residents to remain calm and hopeful, as security agents are working assiduously to recover the abducted residents.
Oyebode in the statement said : ”Six pupils of a private school in Emure-Ekiti, three teachers and the bus driver were abducted while returning to Eporo-Ekiti, Monday evening.
“Governor Oyebanji said security is being stepped up across the state to flush out criminal elements from their hideouts.
“While calling on the citizens to remain calm and vigilant, he urged them to cooperate with security agencies, by making available relevant information to the authorities.” (vitalnewsngr.com)
