Kidnappers of a Chinese man, Sam Xie Wie and his Nigerian colleague, David Adenaiye, are now demanding for a one billion ransom for their release.
The kidnappers had on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 invaded a mining site located at Oreke-Okeigbo community in Kwara State to kidnap their victims.
During the invasion, the kidnappers also killed
two mobile police officers.
However, the kidnappers, have used the victims’ mobile phones to contact an associate named Mr. Leo Liang, to demand for one billion ransom for their release.
The ransom demand was revealed in a post on Friday by security analyst Zagazola Makama on his verified account.
According to the post, the kidnappers used the victims’ mobile phones to contact an associate named Mr. Leo Liang, insisting on the hefty ransom for their freedom.
Makama noted that security agencies and local vigilante groups have launched a search operation to safely rescue the abducted men.
