A 42-year-old man, Pastor Samson Ajayi, has been arraigned before a Magistrate Court in Akure, Ondo State, for allegedly raping his own 17-year-old biological daughter.

Ajayi was said to have raped his daughter repeatedly over a period of four years.

The suspect hailed from Igoba,Ondo State.

His wife was said to have caught him in the act and reported the incident to police in Akure

Ajayi was consequently arrested by police on a prayer mountain.

He confessed to the crime during interrogation.

The suspect was arraigned on a two – count charge bordering on rape and defilement.

Ajayi, a father of five blamed the incident on “generational curse ” , saying his father also raped one of his sisters.

His lawyer’s request for an out of court settlement was rebuffed by the court.

The Magistrate then ordered that Ajayi be remanded at the Olokuta Correctional facility pending further legal advice.

The case was then adjourned till November 20, 2025.
