The Kogi State Branch, Council of Ulama’u of Nigeria (COU) , has congratulated Muslims in the state for witnessing another New Islamic Year 1446 A .H.
The Council in a press statement in Lokoja on Monday prayed unto Almighty ALLAH to grant all Muslims the good in the new year.
The Council glorified Almighty ALLAH for the gift of unity among Muslims in the state as well as for the peace and peaceful co-existence among the Muslims and Non-Muslims alike.
It enjoined Muslims and everyone to stop and ponder deeply on the countless challenges confronting humanity today in order to retrace steps and renew their faith in Almighty Allah .
“While congratulating Muslims for witnessing the celebration, it enjoined them to remain law-abiding and peaceful in all their activities.
It called on all the Council branches in all the 21 Local Government Areas, Imams and Islamic Scholars to offer special prayers for Almighty ALLAH’S Intervention in the current hardship being faced by Nigerians.
The Council applauded and appreciated Governor Ahmad Usman Ododo, of Kogi State, for his sustained support to religious organisations in the State.
