Pilgrims from Kogi State to this year’s Hajj have all returned to Makkah,
after the completion of Hajj rites at Mina, Arafat and Muzdalifa.
The state Amirul Hajj, Mallam Zakariyahu Aliyu Abubakar (Zaak) who stated this said the 721 pilgrims returned to Makkah on Friday, 12th Dhul-Hijjah, 1444H/30th June, 2023.
He said the pilgrims are all expected to complete the remaining two pillars of Hajj in Makkah to conclude all Hajj rites for 1444H/2023 Hajj.
“They are waiting for the departure date to Nigeria.
“However, as they await anxiously for this, they continue with their other spiritual activities especially in the Grand Mosque hosting the Ka’abah for greater reward and benefits,” he said.
Zaak said the state pilgrims have so far conducted themselves in the “best manner at the various sites prescribed for the performance of Hajj to the admiration of the assessment team.
“The Commission and its officials were praised by both the NAHCON Monitoring Team led by Dr. Aliyu Tanko and the Saudi Field Service Providers of Group 5. for the pilgrims excellent behaviour.”
According to him, the outbound journey back to Nigeria awaits the NAHCON approval.
