Gunmen Assassinate APC’s Returning Officer In Ondo State

Unknown gunmen have killed Alaba Abey, who served as Returning Officer in the just concluded governorship primary election of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Supare Akoko, ward 10 of Akoko Southwest Local Government of Ondo State.

The deceased was the Returning Officer of the APC in the just concluded primary election that produced Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa as the candidate of the ruling party in Ondo State.

His death was confirmed on Sunday by his elder brother, Samuel Abbey, FCA.

According to him the deceased was assassinated on Saturday night , 27 of April at about 9 pm in front of his house after returning home.    (vitalnewsngr.com)
