The meeting focused on need to foster unity and cooperation among different religious groups in the state.

He emphasized that the support he received from the two groups was not political but spiritual.

In his words : ” Let me begin by expressing my sincere appreciation to all of you for your unwavering support not only during the last election but for the very beginning of our journey.

“You believed in me when I presented myself as a servant of People, you stood with me in Faith, Prayers and with the thought that I will serve with integrity, humility and the fear of God Almighty; your support was not political but spiritual.”

The governor warned against any act that would disturb the peace of the state, charging the local government chairmen to desist from approving land for people of questionable character.

The Chairman Jama’atu Nasirl Islam, Kogi State Chapter, Ambassador Usman Bello and the state Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria, Special Apostle Adegboye Emmanuel appreciated the governor for the opportunity to have an interface with him.

The two bodies also congratulated the governor on his victory at the supreme Court saying it was well deserved.

They praised the governor for his monumental strides in all sectors of the state and the prompt payment of workers salaries.

The high point of the meeting was the presentation of copies of the Holy Bible and The Glorious Quran to the governor.
