The new Kogi State Head of Service, Mr. Elijah Evenemi, says Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo will welcome suggestions and advises in his desire to sustain and improve upon the current level of development in the state.
Evenemi stated this in Lokoja on Wednesday when playing host to the National President of Ihima Welfare Association (IWA), Mall. Abubakar Bello and some members of Ihima Community in his office.

assured the people of the state that Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo us commuted to quality service delivery, hence his decision to maintain an open door policy
Evenemi thanked the people of Ihima community for their overwhelming support to Governor Ododo, during the November 11, 2023 Governorship election in the state.
He charged the entire people of Ihima never to relent in their unflinching support for the Governor.
” I thank you (Ihima people) for this visit. I will convey your message of gratitude to my Governor.
“Please, do not relent in your support and prayers for him. Governor Ododo is a good listener and a man of action.
“We don’t claim to know it all. The terrain may be new but it is not difficult for him to walk through.
“He is up to the task.
He will not play with the issue of civil servants.
“Governor Ododo is ready to invigorate and help the Kogi State Civil Service to function properly and to the envy of other Civil Service in the Country,”he assured.
Speaking earlier among other things, the President of Ihima Welfare Association (IWA), Abubakar Bello advised government to take the prompt and appropriate payment of salary of civil servants as a matter of priority.
For the Community leader, such gesture will make the Government of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo , a highly popular one because no Civil Servant had less than ten dependants.
“For me, Government which locates the welfare and well-being of civil servants at the centre of his governance has solved the problem of the citizenry to a large extent and it will be very popular with the people.
