Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi State has felicitated a former governor of the state, Captain Idris Ichalla Wada on the occasion of his 74th birthday.
Ododo in a statement on Monday in Lokoja described Captain Wada as an exemplary leader, admired for his exceptional vision and humility.
In the statement signed by Ismail Isah, his Special Adviser on media, Ododo
highlighted Captain Wada’s steadfast commitment to the service of God and humanity, praising his significant contributions to the development of Kogi State during his tenure as governor from January, 2011 to January, 2016.
He also acknowledged Captain Wada’s enduring legacies, invaluable guidance and wise counsel which he noted continue to inspire the younger generation of leaders.
“As Captain Wada marks another year, Governor Ododo wishes him a joyous celebration and prays for long life and good health, so he can continue to enrich and inspire more lives in his service to the nation and humanity,” the statement said.
Born on August 26, 1950, in Dekina local government area, Captain Wada’s legacy spans a distinguished career as an accomplished pilot and administrator in the Nigerian Aviation industry, and a remarkable tenure as the governor of Kogi State. (vitalnewsngr.com)
