FRSC Deploys 880 Personnel, 22 Patrol vehicles In Kogi To Checkmate Crashes During Easter

Lokoja – The Federal Road Safely Corps (FRSC) Kogi Sector Command, has deployed 880 personnel and 22 patrol vehicles for the Easter Special Patrol Operation which holds from Thursday, April 6 – April 12.

Also deployed are 3 Ambulances and two tow trucks to critical road corridors within the State in order to reduce road traffic crashes and other encumbrances.

The Sector Commander, Corps’ Commander Stephen Dawulung, made the disclosure in a statement issued in Lokoja.

“This Easter celebration , we are not leaving anything to chance as our special patrol operations will involve the deployment of 880 Men, 22 Patrol Vehicles, 3 Ambulances and Tow Trucks to critical spots within Kogi purposely to reduce road traffic crashes and other encumbrances.

“It’s our believe that through strict enforcement of road traffic laws and regulations, prompt rescue and response to distress calls, speedy removal of obstructions on the highways and orientation of the public on road safety, lives and property could be very safe.

“We don’t want a situation where lives and property will be wasted on our highways by careless and reckless motorists on our highways just like that.

“FRSC is ready desk with such reckless motorists in accordance with the law to serve as deterrent to others and for the good of the nigeria citizens,” he warned.

Dawulung noted that the traffic peculiarity of Kogi, being the melting pot of vehicular traffic calls for even greater commitment towards ensuring that motorists enjoy free and safe travels across the State.

The Sector Commander, who wished travellers fruitful Easter celebration, advised motorists to always adhere to road traffic regulations, exhibit the highest level of discipline and avoid any unwholesome practices that may jeopardize theirs and others safety on the road.(NAN/vitalnewsngr.com)
