The Federal Government has set up an inter-agency committee to coordinate and handle the issues around the imminent deportation of some Nigerians from the United States.
The inter-agency committee is made up of NiDCOM, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, and the Office of the National Security Adviser (NSA) among others.
The Director of Media and Corporate Affairs at the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Abdur-Rahman Balogun, disclosed this.
He said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is overseeing the process.
However, he , stated that NiDCOM is not currently aware of any Nigerians in the US undergoing deportation procedures.
