FEMI FANI KAYODE AS THE BRAND IMAGE AND POSTER BOY OF APC.

Overtime, Femi Fani Kayode (FFK) has passed as the garrulous, intemperate, incredible, indiscreet and compulsive liar who is often ignored because no one took him seriously anymore.

He has, however, mismanaged and misread his image so much until he bit more than he could chew, by delving into an area of grave importance- the security of our great nation.

For a man who had a privileged parentage and has held a very high public office to bow in contrition and admit his blatant and trade mark lies there seems to be no other explanation than to affirm that, truly, everyday is for the thief and one day is for the owner. Above all, lies may run for 20 years but the truth catches up in just a day.

Femi Fani Kayode is the brand image of APC, a party that has lied to Nigerians for nearly 10 years, but now deceiving itself. The triumph of truth and light over falsehood and darkness is the reason the APC is now at war with itself, discrediting its own policies and the President produced by the Party.

Since campaigns began, Femi Fani Kayode and his lie peddlers in the APC Presidential Campaign Council have done nothing but fabricating lies, resort to name calling, character assassination and mudslinging. Their conduct is a negation of what our nation needs at this time . The times require a team that is responsible, introspective and patriotic, not a band of rabble rousers and base characters, who have no medal of honour to their names but seek to destroy the hard earned reputation of His Excellency Atiku Abubakar.

Allegations of coup plotting is so grave that it can only be made peremptorily by a light headed political jobber who thinks nothing of the implications of such weighty insinuation among the civil and military populace in a period of transition.

When inflammatory statements like this are made one begins to wonder the stake that the APC and its carefully selected band of inept brand managers have in our dear country.

The Presidential Candidate of the APC might have his strategic reasons for hiring Femi Fani Kayode, but with the benefit of hindsight, he has recruited a disastrous resource. In fact with a friend like Femi Fani Kayode nobody needs an enemy.

Let it be known that all who bellyache against Atiku and circulate lies in desperation will all soon earn their badges of dishonour like Femi Fani Kayode.

God bless Nigeria

Senator Dino Melaye, spokesperson and Director Public Affairs Presidential Campaign Management committee
