The Chief Imam also stressed the need to sustain the lessons of Ramadan.

The Islamic cleric urged Muslims to continue to practise the virtues of humility and kindness to one another, as they were the cardinal principles of the Ramadan fasting and the legacies left behind by Prophet Mohammed and as emulated by late Maigari of Lokoja, Alhaji (Dr) Muhammadu Kabir Maikarfi 111.

He called on residents to intensify prayers for overall peace, stability and unity of Lokoja , traditional council, state and the country at large.

Imam Sha’aban said that the month of Ramadan was a month that the Holy Qur’an was revealed to Prophet Muhammad and had come with a lot of lessons, which included dedication and sacrifice to the Almighty Allah.

He commended Kogi state Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello for his developmental strides , especially in the areas of security, peace and development of Kogi state.

Imam Sha’aban who prayed for the reposed of late Maigari of Lokoja, Alhaji (Dr) Muhammadu Kabir Maikarfi 111,who passed away September 2022 admonished members of Lokoja traditional council to maintained his legacies which include peace, unity and selfless service amongst many.

Recall that Theanalyst.ng reports that Secretary, Lokoja Local Government Traditional Council, Alhaji muhammed M. Usman Nalado in a letter addressed to the DLG, Lokoja Local Government, tendered an apology for conveying a letter from Muhammadu Maikarfi ruling house, appointing Khalifa Ibrahim Etsu Shuiabu, as representing late Maigari of Lokoja, HRH, Alhaji (Dr) Muhammadu Kabir Maikarfi 111, who will led Muslim community and members of Lokoja traditional council to this year’s Eidil-Fitir ground.

The Secretary , according to the letter, erroneously approved the appointment of Magajin Gari of Lokoja, khalifa Etsu Shuiabu Kenchi, by the Muhammadu Maikarfi ruling house without seeking the approval of Ms Comfort Ife, Acting Chairman, Lokoja local government Council, instead of the spiritual leader and chief Imam of Lokoja, Sheikh Muhammadu Aminu Sha’aban.  (The Analyst/vitalnewsngr.com)
